Enviromental Policies

Delta Group Australia operates a diverse range of businesses in Australasia encompassing Engineered Steel Products and Galvanizing Services and is committed to managing its businesses in an environmentally responsible manner at all times. In the context of this, Delta Group Australia, and its employees at all levels, are committed to complying with current legislation, the prevention of pollution and seeking continuous improvement in its environmental performance.

To achieve these objectives, Delta Group Australia will:

• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations and standards;
• Develop, implement, resource and maintain an Environmental Management System based on ISO14001;
• Set environmental objectives and targets and measure progress to ensure we continuously improve our environmental performance;
• Formally identify and assess the impact of current and new activities, products and processes upon the environment.;
• Develop and implement procedures and controls, for activities which have a potential to impact on the environment, to prevent environmental damage;
• Seek to use energy, water and other resources more efficiently to avoid unnecessary expenditure, improve cost effectiveness and reduce emissions to air and water in order to protect the natural environment;
• Minimise the generation of waste using the principles of “avoid, re-use, recycle” and to dispose of unavoidable waste in an appropriate manner;
• Ensure that its employees and suppliers of goods and services are informed about this policy and are aware of their environmental responsibilities;
• Conduct independent environmental assessments periodically at each business location to benchmark performance against best practice; and
• The overall effectiveness of the EMS will be reviewed periodically to assess progress toward ongoing improvement.

This policy applies to all subsidiaries of and businesses within Delta Group Australia, namely AusZinc, Delta Galvanizing, Donhad, Galvline Tasmania, Hi-Light Industries, Industrial Galvanizers Corporation, Ingal Civil Products, Ingal EPS, Webforge Australia, and Webforge (NZ).
